Indications: 
  • For relief of intestinal gas and painful symptoms of gastric bloating
Administration: 
  • PO: administer after feeds; mix with water, infant formula or other liquid
Dosage: 
  • 20 mg/dose QID
Side Effects: 
  • Usually well tolerated
Parameters to Monitor: 
  • Monitor for a decrease in symptoms such as crying, fussiness, and intestinal gas
  • Discontinue use if there is no improvement after about 48 hours
