Indications: 
  • Treatment of upper airway obstruction
Administration: 
  • Nebulization: nebulize undiluted over 10-15 minutes
Dosage: 

Epinephrine 1 mg/mL Inhalation Solution:

  • 3 mL for patients under 10 kg, 5 mL for patients greater than or equal to 10 kg.
  • May repeat dose if needed.
Side Effects: 
  • CVS: hypertension, tachycardia, vasoconstriction
Parameters to Monitor: 
  • BP, HR
Reconstitution and Stability: 
  • Protect from light.  Store at room temperature.
Compatibility: 
  • N/A
Notes: 
  • Do not use product if it is brown in color or cloudy 
  • Do not use product if it is pinkish or darker than slightly yellow, or if it contains a precipitate
