Side Effects:
- CVS: rapid infusion may cause vascular overload and precipitate heart failure
- Hypersensitivity reactions may include chills, fever, nausea, urticaria
Reconstitution and Stability:
Compatibility:
- Solutions Compatible: Dextrose (up to D10W), 0.9% NaCl
- Y-site Compatible: amino acids and dextrose
- Incompatible: Sterile water for injection, lipids, midazolam, vancomycin
Notes:
- Use within 4 hours after opening
- Do not use if solution shows sediment
